Tinubu Honoured With Lifetime Africa Achievement Prize In Ghana.
President Bola Tinubu has been awarded the prestigious Lifetime Africa Achievement Prize at the 25th Anniversary of the Millennium Excellence Prize, held on Saturday evening at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, Ghana. The accolade was received on his behalf by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu.
Expressing gratitude for the recognition, President Tinubu commended the Life Patron of the Millennium Excellence Foundation, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, for the esteemed gesture. He highlighted the award’s significance, noting that since its inception in 1988, the ceremony has served as a beacon of inspiration across Africa, celebrating individuals who have excelled in advancing the continent’s development.
“The mission of identifying, celebrating, and supporting those who have distinguished themselves in the pursuit of African development resonates deeply with the aspirations of Nigeria and all African nations,” Tinubu stated. He further praised the visionaries who have sustained the institution for 25 years, applauding the values of honour, integrity, service, and excellence that define its work.
The recognition underscores President Tinubu’s contributions to African progress, cementing his place among the continent’s most influential leaders.
