Regardless of how comfortable humanity may feel on this earth, it is created by God for man/woman to live therein for a while and thereafter, must account for all he/she did therein.
No man/woman will live forever in this world, because it wasn’t designed so by the Supreme Creator. Poverty can make a man desire Jesus’ second coming in a jiffy, but the comfort of riches is the radar that makes same wish/pray Jesus’ return should tarry even more.
Yes, as Ambassadors of our King (Jesus) in this mundane world, we’re to make; if possible, round-the-clock- efforts with every possible resources we can muscle to draw souls and not personalities to God and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven – Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. – Matthew 6:10
God is not looking to build a kingdom in this world, He already has is kingdom in heaven and Christianity cannot be forced on anyone or nation. We’re to continue to propagate the Good-news in Love till Jesus’ second coming. He is the one who’ll take away evil from this world, restore absolute peace therein, and reign for a thousand year. Until then, christianity taking-over government will not change the narrative that:
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. – John 16:33
Enjoyment that turns against God is the subtle sifting wickedness of lack of trouble which is peculiar to this world. The troubles in Africa only differs to that of other continents, but there is trouble everywhere, so far it’s this world. And it is made so for humanity to find a peaceful habitation, and that is obtainable only in Jesus Christ. And while seeking the peace in Him, He deploys the avenue to introduce is Kingdom to us, so that when we get what we want, He can use us to reach others and get them also out of trouble.
If that was feasible; Jesus after resurrection would have remained here and not ascend into heaven. Not just that; He wouldn’t have promised us of going to prepare a place for us in heaven, but an eternal dwelling place on earth.
If persecuting believers is taken off earth today, we’ll abandon God, and no-one will attend to the Kingdom business anymore, seek salvation etc. We still run to God because of the troubles of life.
Few there be of the human race today that; if comfortable, will seek God. Our emotions cannot change what is written by God, and his plans for this world.
If the piety of Christianity were to be the solution to earthly troubles, JESUS Christ, was in the best tandem to have achieved that, but even He was persecuted, because here is not our home, we must leave here someday individually if He tarries, and he raptures the world, and his kingdom will reign.
Let’s continues to invest more on souls trooping into the kingdom and not edifices built with hands which God don’t dwell in, deploying every resources in our arsenal till our Lord returns. We can get into politics etc, but that will not bring peace to this world.
Our priority is to build humanity as the temple of God – God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. – Acts 17:24
As against muscling efforts on that which God doesn’t dwell in, which gets our hearts’ attention, our focus should be on where He dwells – Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? – 1 Corinthians 3:16
