A tragic incident occurred late Tuesday evening in Sierra Leonean football when a bus carrying Port Authority FC players for a league match was involved in a serious accident.
Sadly, the club’s head coach, Lamin Bangoura, lost his life at the scene, and several players sustained severe injuries.
Some of the injured players are currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit, and the cause of the accident remains unknown.
The team was on their way to Kenema for an important match against Kahunla Rangers when the tragedy occurred, leaving many members in critical condition.
Despite the efforts of medical staff at Masiaka Hospital, Bangura passed away from his injuries, leaving a significant void in Sierra Leonean football.
