President Federation Cup Final To Be Held At MKO Abiola National Stadium On 29th June

President Federation Cup 2024 Final Gets Date And Venue.

The grand finale of this year’s President Federation Cup for both men and women will take place at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Saturday, 29th June. This was confirmed by NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, who announced that the date has been agreed upon by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and GTI to ensure Nigeria can submit its representative clubs for next season’s continental competitions to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) by the 30th June deadline.

 

“Having looked closely at our programmes, the stage the men’s and women’s competitions are at the moment, and the need to submit the names of all our representative clubs to CAF for African Club Competitions next season, ourselves and GTI have reached a consensus for the grand finale of the men’s and women’s finals of the President Federation Cup to take place on Saturday, 29th June,” Dr. Sanusi stated. “The venue is the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja. The women’s final will begin at 1pm while the men’s final will commence at 4pm, as has been the tradition for so many years now. NFF and GTI are committed to putting up a great show for this year’s grand finale.”





 

Upcoming Matches in the Women’s Competition

The quarter-finals of the women’s competition are set for Wednesday, 19th June, with matches to be hosted in Benin City, Asaba, and Enugu. One of the standout fixtures will see Nasarawa Amazons face Remo Stars Ladies at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, promising an explosive encounter. Delta Queens will take on Sunshine Queens at the same venue, while FC Robo Queens will clash with Naija Ratels in Asaba. Osun Babes will face Rivers Angels at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.

 

Women’s Quarter-Final Fixtures:

– Nasarawa Amazons (Nasarawa) vs. Remo Stars Ladies (Ogun) – Benin City – 19/06/24 – 4pm

– Naija Ratels (FCT) vs. FC Robo Queens (Lagos) – Asaba – 19/06/24 – 4pm

– Delta Queens (Delta) vs. Sunshine Queens (Ondo) – Benin City – 19/06/24 – 1pm

– Osun Babes (Osun) vs. Rivers Angels (Rivers) – Enugu – 19/06/24 – 4pm

 

Exciting Men’s Semi-Finals Ahead

The semi-finals of the men’s competition will be held on Thursday, 20th June, with matches taking place in Abuja and Lafia. Abia Warriors, having recently secured their Premiership status, will face off against former winners Kano Pillars at the Lafia City Stadium. In the other semi-final, El-Kanemi Warriors, fresh from securing promotion to the NPFL, will battle Kebbi United at the NFF/FIFA Goal Project in Abuja.

 

Men’s Semi-Final Fixtures:

– Kebbi United (Kebbi) vs. El-Kanemi Warriors (Borno) – FCT-Goal Project – 20/06/24 – 4pm

– Abia Warriors (Abia) vs. Kano Pillars (Kano) – Lafia – 20/06/24 – 4pm

 

Fans can look forward to thrilling encounters as teams vie for glory in both the men’s and women’s competitions of the President Federation Cup.
