Sunshine Stars have selected the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode as their temporary home ground for the upcoming 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. This decision comes after the club’s original venue, the Akure Township Stadium, failed to meet the required standards set by the NPFL.
As a result, the Owena Waves will relocate to the Dipo Dina Stadium for their home matches, starting with their season opener against Bayelsa United. The shift to Ijebu Ode is seen as a necessary move to ensure compliance with league regulations and to maintain the team’s competitiveness in the top tier of Nigerian football.
Sunshine Stars are optimistic about the season ahead, despite the change in venue, and are eager to make a strong start in their new temporary home.
