NPFL actions continues as various teams purse season ambition; some title hopes, some continental football, some just to avoid the relegation waters.

NPFL Matchday 32: Struggling Gombe United made a remarkable comeback, securing a thrilling 3-2 victory over title-chasing Lobi Stars after a series of disappointing results.

Stephen Eneji swiftly put Lobi Stars in the lead within the first minute, but Gombe United responded strongly. Emmanuel Michael equalized in the 22nd minute, followed by Anayor Ogbonna’s brace in the 73rd and 83rd minutes, giving the hosts a lead. Stanley Oganbor managed to reduce the deficit for Lobi Stars with a goal in the 90th minute.

Meanwhile, in other Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) matches:

Chijioke Mbaoma’s 61st-minute penalty secured a narrow 1-0 victory for Enyimba against Katsina United in Aba.

In Enugu, Rangers clinched a comfortable 2-0 win over Plateau United with goals from Chiedozie Okorie and Godwin Obaje, further bolstering their title aspirations.

On the other hand, Akwa United dominated Kano Pillars at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, sealing a resounding 3-0 win. Ubong Friday scored twice (37th and 58th minutes), while Mustapha Sadiq added a late goal in the 90th minute.

While in the South West derby at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan, Shooting Stars triumphed 2-0 over Sunshine Stars. Captain Taofeek Malomo broke the deadlock in the 57th minute, and Christian Pyagbara secured the win with a goal, sealing a comfortable victory despite Sunshine Stars playing with 10 men.
