In response to recent concerns regarding the shortage of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in certain regions of Nigeria, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has issued a statement clarifying the situation.
According to Chief Corporate Communications Officer Olufemi Soneye, the tightness in supply was primarily due to logistical challenges, which have since been addressed.
NNPC Ltd. also emphasises that there will be no changes to the prices of petroleum products despite the recent disruptions. Soneye urges Nigerians to refrain from panic buying, reassuring the public that there is an ample supply of products throughout the country.
This announcement comes as a relief to consumers amid worries about fuel availability and pricing. NNPC Ltd.’s assurance of logistical resolution and price stability aims to instill confidence and alleviate concerns among citizens.
