NNPC Announces Key Leadership Appointments In Major Reshuffle.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has undertaken a significant restructuring of its leadership team, appointing Adedapo Segun as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and announcing other strategic roles aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s energy sector.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Chief Corporate Communications Officer Olufemi Soneye confirmed that Segun, who previously served as Executive Vice President (EVP) of Downstream Operations, will now step into the role of CFO. His prior contributions to the company’s downstream sector have been recognised as instrumental in driving operational success.
Other appointments included Isiyaku Abdullahi as the new Executive Vice President, Downstream, and Udobong Ntia as Executive Vice President, Upstream. These changes reflect the company’s “continued dedication to enhancing corporate governance, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring long-term success in Nigeria’s energy sector,” Soneye stated.
Soneye emphasised that the appointments align with NNPC’s commitment to building a unified leadership team capable of driving operational excellence and supporting the company’s strategic objectives. He added that the Board and Management extended their gratitude to outgoing executives Umar Ajiya and Oritsemeyiwa A. Eyesan for their outstanding dedication and service.
The reshuffle demonstrates NNPC’s aim to boost its global competitiveness and financial sustainability, while continuing to prioritise the interests of the Nigerian public in the petroleum industry.
