Governor Sanwo-Olu Appoints Four Permanent Secretaries In Lagos State Public Service

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has recently announced the appointment of four accomplished individuals as Permanent Secretaries in the state’s Public Service. 

 

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Engr. Lateef Ayodele Somide, Engr. Mahmood Olakunle Adegbite, Mr. Fatai Audu Emmanuel, and Mrs. Lyla Morenike Oki. Their diverse expertise spans public works, drainage services, fisheries, and administration, showcasing a strategic alignment with the needs of various government sectors.

 





The Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, emphasized the selection process’s rigor, emphasizing diligence, commitment, intellectual capacity, and dedication to effective service delivery. The appointments, set to take effect from Monday, 5th February 2024 was derived from a successful Screening Exercise.

 

In line with the restructuring efforts, the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries will be deployed to key offices: Engr. Lateef Ayodele Somide to the Office of Infrastructure, Engr. Mahmood Olakunle Adegbite to the Office of Drainage Services, Mr. Fatai Audu Emmanuel to the Ministry of Agriculture, and Mrs. Lyla Morenike Oki to the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC).

 

Additionally, three redeployments were announced. Engr. Olalekan Nurudeen Shodeinde, former Permanent Secretary at the Office of Drainage Services, has been redeployed to the newly established Office of Urban Development.

Dr. Olugbemiga Ayoola Aina, the former Permanent Secretary at Parastatals Monitoring Office, is now taking charge at the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade, and Investment. Mrs. Adetutu Oluremi Ososanya, previously at the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade, and Investment, will now serve as the Permanent Secretary at Parastatals Monitoring Office.
