Midtjylland Provides Update on Kristoffer Olsson’s Recovery
Midtjylland’s midfielder Kristoffer Olsson is making remarkable progress in his recovery from blood clots on the brain, according to his club.
The 28-year-old suffered a health scare in February, leading to hospitalization and ventilation after collapsing at home. Since then, he has been under specialized care at a neurology center.
In a recent statement, Midtjylland announced that Olsson has regained motor function, verbal abilities, and can now eat independently. They noted significant physical progress, including active training to improve his walking function.
While cognitive challenges persist and full recovery remains uncertain, specialists overseeing his treatment are encouraged by his positive strides.
Claus Steinlein, Midtjylland’s manager, praised Olsson’s resilience, positive attitude, and determination, describing his fight against the illness as inspiring to everyone.
Olsson, a product of Arsenal’s youth academy, transitioned to Midtjylland in 2015 after a brief stint with the Gunners.
He later played for AIK in Sweden, Krasnodar in Russia, and Anderlecht in Belgium before rejoining Midtjylland in 2022.
