Endrick Becomes Real Madrid’s Youngest Champions League Scorer In Victory Over Stuttgart

Endrick Becomes Real Madrid’s Youngest Champions League Scorer In Victory Over Stuttgart.

In a thrilling night at the Bernabeu, Real Madrid’s 18-year-old Brazilian sensation Endrick became the club’s youngest-ever goalscorer in the Champions League, helping his side secure a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Stuttgart. Endrick, who netted in the final moments of the match, broke the record previously held by club legend Raul, who scored at 18 years and 113 days in 1995. At just 18 years and 58 days, Endrick etched his name in the club’s history.

The young striker, who joined Real Madrid from Palmeiras this summer, has already made an impression, becoming the youngest player to score on his La Liga debut for the club earlier this season. In the Champions League, he replaced Jude Bellingham in the 80th minute and sealed the win with the final kick of the game.

Kylian Mbappe, making his Champions League debut for Los Blancos, also played a pivotal role in the victory. The French forward opened the scoring just 20 seconds into the second half after a sweeping pass from Aurelien Tchouameni found Rodrygo, who unselfishly squared the ball for Mbappe to tap in.

However, Stuttgart made it a tense evening for Carlo Ancelotti’s men when former Brighton forward Deniz Undav equalised in the 68th minute with a well-placed header. The German side had threatened throughout, particularly in the first half, when they missed two clear opportunities to take the lead. Enzo Millot dragged a shot wide early on, and Thibaut Courtois brilliantly saved Angelo Stiller’s goal-bound effort.

Undav came close again as his shot deflected off Dani Carvajal and grazed the top of the crossbar. Real Madrid also had their chances, with Vinicius Jr rattling the crossbar with a thunderous strike in the 58th minute.

Ancelotti’s side eventually reclaimed control, with Antonio Rudiger heading in from a corner in the 83rd minute to put them back in front. Endrick’s late strike then added the finishing touch to a memorable night for the teenager.

Jude Bellingham returned to the starting line-up after missing four matches due to a calf injury, playing 80 minutes before being replaced by Endrick.

Real Madrid now turn their attention to their next Champions League fixture against Lille, while Stuttgart will host Sparta Prague.
