Trending reports has it that, the immediate past Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, is currently in the Makurdi office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, in honour of an invitation sent him.
Ortom arrived at the Makurdi zonal office of the anti-graft agency, located at Alor Gordon Street, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
It was gathered that the former governor was invited to be questioned concerning an ongoing investigation into alleged financial misappropriation during his tenure as governor of the state.
Efforts to reach the spokesperson for EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, proved abortive, as there was no response to either call or text messages, a Punch correspondent posited.
The former Governor was still at the office of the law enforcement agency as of the time of filing this report.
