A video of Barrister Fred Ajudua asking certain voters in Delta to stay away from polling units during the state election has emerged.
Ajudua, from Ibusa in Oshimili North Local Government Area, directed his warning to opponents of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Addressing a gathering in Igbo and English, the legal practitioner declared the area belongs to the PDP, the ruling party.
“We must vote PDP two over two (sic). This is Igbuzor. Igbuzor intersection. Vote for only PDP. If you know you don’t want to vote PDP, stay in your house,” he said.
With around one million population, Igbuzor, also known as Ibusa, is a Delta community dominated by Igbo.
Some people in the crowd cheered as Ajudua gave his speech.
There were similar remarks ahead of the election by party loyalists, including APC supporters in Lagos, particularly, Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, who recanted on Friday.
On Saturday at Oshodi, APC supporters marched through streets, threatening supporters of other parties to remain indoors.
