Dangote Group Named Premier Partner For Intra-African Trade Fair 2025.

Dangote Group, one of Africa’s foremost industrial conglomerates, has been announced as the Official Premier Partner for the Intra-African Trade Fair 2025 (IATF2025), set to take place in Algiers, Algeria, from 4 to 10 September 2025. The announcement, made on 5 August 2025, underscores the group’s pivotal role in advancing intra-African trade and economic integration, aligning with the continent’s vision for sustainable growth.

Founded in 1978 by Aliko Dangote, the group operates across 10 African countries with over 18 subsidiaries in sectors including cement, fertilisers, petrochemicals, refined petroleum, sugar, salt, and logistics. Its participation in IATF2025, organised by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) in collaboration with the African Union Commission and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, highlights its commitment to fostering economic self-sufficiency. The fair, hosted by the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, is expected to attract over 2,000 exhibitors and generate trade and investment deals worth more than US$44 billion.

Mrs. Kanayo Awani, Executive Vice President of Intra-African Trade and Export Development at Afreximbank, praised Dangote Group’s transformative investments, particularly the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals Complex and the Dangote Fertiliser Plant, which have received tailored financing from Afreximbank. She described the group as a “beacon of African industrial excellence,” shaping the continent’s economic landscape through innovation and infrastructure development.

Mr. Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding & Communications Officer at Dangote Industries Limited, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Our collaboration with IATF reflects a shared vision for African prosperity. Having witnessed the impact of IATF2023, we are excited to build on that momentum in Algiers.” He emphasised the group’s dedication to creating opportunities and driving economic growth across Africa.

The partnership comes as Nigeria emerges as West Africa’s leading intra-African trading nation, with trade reaching US$18.4 billion in 2024, largely driven by the Dangote Refinery’s petroleum exports to markets like Cameroon. Social media posts on X have lauded Dangote’s role in boosting the AfCFTA agenda, with users noting its contributions to supply chain integration and economic resilience.

With an annual turnover of US$9.6 billion in 2024, Dangote Group continues to lead in manufacturing and job creation, operating large-scale facilities that prioritise local production. IATF2025 will provide a platform for the group to showcase its innovations and forge new trade connections, reinforcing Africa’s position as a global hub for production and commerce.
