A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Garba, claimed there is no incidence of violence in the ongoing governorship and state House of Assembly elections in Lagos State. In a tweet on Saturday, Garba claimed he is currently in Lagos and can confirm that there is no violence in the South West state. Meanwhile, there are series of reports of widespread violence with social media users sharing video and picture evidence of voter intimidation and disruptive actions by political thugs across parts of the state.

Usman Baba, the Inspector-General of Police, has announced restriction of vehicular movements during this Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections.
