Angola Beat Burkina Faso 2:0 last night to move through into the round of 16 and likewise also Burkina Faso who despite the loss still finished as group runners-up to make the knockout phase.
Goals from Mabululu and Zini in the 36th and 90th minutes respectively inspired Angola to brush aside Burkina Faso. In what was a delightful 2-0 victory over Burkina Faso on Tuesday night.
The win means Angola won Group D and will feature in the Round 16 stage of the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.
It was the final Group D game at the on going AFCON tournament in Cote d’Ivoire and Angola locked horns with Burkina Faso at Stade de Yamoussouko
Both teams put up a good fight in the 90 minutes aiming for victory to win the group, but despite the good efforts of Burkina Faso, it was Angola that got the goals.
While that was enough to see Angola advanced to the knockout stage as Group D winners, Burkina Faso also made it through after finishing second with four points despite losing on the night.
