Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, Julieta Valls Noyes, is set to deliver a speech at the Welcoming Interactive conference in Dallas from April 10th to April 12th, 2024.
The annual event serves as a platform to showcase successful practices and inspiring stories centered around refugee inclusion, programs, policies, and partnerships.
During her visit, Assistant Secretary Noyes will deliver keynote remarks, shedding light on the importance of fostering inclusivity for refugees. The conference will delve into various aspects of refugee integration, including economic development, civic engagement, and government leadership.
Assistant Secretary Noyes will meet with local refugee resettlement partners and representatives from non-governmental organizatiom and will engage with Welcome Corps private sponsors to ensure the successful resettlement and integration of refugees into their new communities.
In addition to her participation in the Welcoming Interactive conference, Assistant Secretary Noyes will also contribute to a recruitment event at Southern Methodist University, where she will promote careers within the State Department to Dallas-area students.
