Vice President Kashim Shettima unveiled a transformative initiative at the second edition of the Expanded National MSME Clinics. The initiative saw the provision of 200 newly refurbished stores to 400 lucky traders at the renowned Asero Adire market in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
These beneficiaries, representing a diverse array of entrepreneurs, will enjoy the use of these stores free of charge for the inaugural year, with subsequent discounted rates thereafter.
Vice President Shettima, speaking at the event, emphasized the pivotal role of the National MSME Clinics in bridging the gap between the government and small business owners.
He stated the government’s dedication to crafting an ecosystem where innovation flourishes, and the entrepreneurial spirit of Nigeria shines on the global stage.
Commending the cooperation of the Ogun State government in this endeavor, Vice President Shettima hailed the state as a guiding force in the Federal Government’s mission to support enterprises and empower their owners. He also highlighted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision, which relies on harnessing the industrial capabilities of Ogun State as the Gateway to the Nation.
In addition to the store handover, the Vice President inaugurated two significant projects—a state-of-the-art fashion hub for MSMEs and the refurbished Asero Adire market.
