US Approves $3 Billion Arms Sale To Israel.
The Pentagon has confirmed that the US State Department has approved the potential sale of nearly $3 billion worth of bombs, demolition kits, and other weaponry to Israel. The approval was issued on an emergency basis, bypassing the usual congressional review process.

The notification was sent to Congress on Friday afternoon, sidestepping the long-standing practice of allowing the chairs and ranking members of the House Foreign Affairs and Senate Foreign Relations Committees to review and request additional information before formal approval.
Details of the Arms Package
The approved sale includes:
– 35,529 general-purpose bomb bodies for 2,000-pound bombs
– 4,000 bunker-busting 2,000-pound bombs manufactured by General Dynamics
– A $675 million package consisting of 5,000 1,000-pound bombs and corresponding guidance kits
– A $295 million package of Caterpillar D9 bulldozers
According to the Pentagon, deliveries are expected to begin in 2026, but some weapons could be delivered immediately if sourced from existing US stockpiles.
Emergency Approval and Policy Shift
This marks the second time this month that the Trump administration has declared an emergency to fast-track arms sales to Israel. On Monday, the administration rescinded a Biden-era order requiring the US government to report potential violations of international law involving American-supplied weapons to allied nations, including Israel.
The move underscores the administration’s commitment to supporting Israel’s military capabilities while accelerating arms sales through emergency measures.
