West Ham Agree £27m Fee to Sign Germany’s Niclas Fullkrug.
West Ham United have reached an agreement to sign Germany striker Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of £27 million. The 31-year-old forward has been impressive on the international stage, netting 13 goals in 21 appearances for Germany.
Fullkrug joined Borussia Dortmund last summer from Werder Bremen for £12.6 million and had an impactful debut season. He scored 15 goals in 46 appearances and helped his team reach the Champions League final, where they finished as runners-up. Additionally, Fullkrug contributed two goals during Germany’s run to the quarter-finals at Euro 2024, despite not starting any games.
West Ham, under the new management of Julen Lopetegui, are actively reinforcing their squad. They have already signed Wolves captain Max Kilman for £40 million, goalkeeper Wes Foderingham from Sheffield United, and Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme for £25.5 million from Palmeiras.
In addition to Fullkrug, West Ham are exploring other potential signings, including Aston Villa’s Colombian forward Jhon Duran. They are also interested in Manchester United’s full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Leeds United’s Dutch forward Crysencio Summerville.
Fullkrug’s arrival at West Ham is anticipated to bolster their attacking options as they prepare for the upcoming season, aiming to improve their standings in the Premier League and compete effectively in European competitions.
