Beyond Limits Academy announces the transfer of its captain, Onyebuchi Obasi, to five-time Norwegian league champions, Vålerenga FC, on a four-and-a-half-year deal (Govima Sport Reports)
The 18-year-old Nigerian winger has penned a contract until 2028 and has already joined the team’s training camp in Marbella.
Expressing his excitement about the move, Obasi stated, “This is a dream come true for me, and I am thrilled to be here. My goal is to win and progress in my career.”
Sports director Joacim Jonsson welcomed Obasi to the squad, comparing him to former player Chidera Ejuke. He emphasized Obasi’s talent but acknowledged that it might take time for him to fully settle into the team.
“We are excited to have Obasi on board. While he possesses immense talent, we understand that adaptation takes time. He has the potential to make an impact this year, but we also recognize that it might be a gradual process,” said Jonsson.
