Wolverhampton Wanderers Make Substantial Offer for Super Eagles Defender
Wolverhampton Wanderers, a prominent English Premier League club, has tabled a significant sum to secure the services of Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi Samuel from Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce.
The interest from Wolves intensified after they closely monitored the 26-year-old’s performance in the UEFA Conference League match against Olympiacos. Despite Fenerbahce’s exit from the competition, Osayi Samuel’s solid display caught the attention of Wolves’ scouts.
According to reports from Turkey, Wolverhampton Wanderers have put forward a €12 million offer, inclusive of achievable bonuses. While this proposal has not been outrightly declined, Fenerbahce is holding out for a slightly higher amount.
Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, with Fenerbahce eager to reach a resolution as they are wary of losing Osayi Samuel on a free transfer. His current contract with Fenerbahce runs until June 2025, adding urgency to the discussions.
