Emmanuel Olugbe makes Norway move to Sogndal
Nigerian defender Emmanuel Olufemi Olugbe has officially signed with Norwegian club Sogndal.
The talented centre-back joined Sogndal on loan from Hyperbuzz FC, Abuja, with the option for a permanent transfer.
Olugbe caught the eye of Sogndal during trials conducted at the club in February, showcasing his speed and proficiency in duels.
Sogndal’s sports director, Flo Havard, praised Olugbe’s abilities, stating, “Emmanuel is a centre-back with a lot of speed and good in duels. In the training matches, he has shown that he is a promising player with a lot of potential. Off the pitch, he is a nice boy who quickly became part of the group.”
The 18-year-old is set to make his debut for Sogndal in their upcoming match against Mjondalen on Saturday.
Notably, Nigerians Jerome Akor and Peter Michael have also had stints with Sogndal in the past.
