Eriksen decides to stay in London
Former Inter Milan midfielder, Christian Eriksen has reportedly decided to rule out any possibility of joining Manchester United this summer.
Eriksen turned his career around after a brilliant 2021/22 season with Brentford and is currently linked with a move to Man United.
The Denmark international is set to reject a move to Man United as he wants to stay in London, opening the door to a sensational return to Tottenham Hotspur.
New Man United manager Erik ten Hag is keen to bolster his midfield options this summer and has identified Eriksen as a top target.
Earlier this month, Man United confirmed the departure of 11 first-team players, including midfielders Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic.
The Red Devils are in talks with Barcelona over a deal for their midfielder Frenkie de Jong, but given the number of players who have left Old Trafford this month, Ten Hag could bring two midfielders to the theatre of dreams.
It was reported a few days ago that Man United had made a contract offer to Eriksen, whose deal with Brentford expires on June 30.
According to The Athletic, it appears that Man United will miss out on a deal for Eriksen as THE 30-year-old wants to stay in London.
That would make Eriksen’s current club Brentford and former side Tottenham the favourites to secure his services on a permanent deal this summer ahead of next season.
