Hassan Salihamidzic speaks on Ronaldo move to united
Bayern Munich director Hasan Salihamidzic has reacted to speculation linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a move to the German Bundesliga champions.
There are claims in Europe that the Bundesliga club want to capitalise on the 37-tear-old’s frustration in Manchester United to lure him to Germany.
Ronaldo scored 24 goals in 38 appearances in a disjointed United team which finished sixth in the Premier League last season.
Now the Portuguese legend is said to be cutting a frustrated figure over the Red Devils’ lack of activity in the transfer market this summer.
Ronaldo has watched Manchester City, Liverpool, and even Arsenal and Tottenham add new players to their squad while United are yet to complete a single signing.
Ronaldo is not willing to spend another trophyless season at Old Trafford and has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich in recent days but club chief Salihamidzic has denied the rumours.
He says the German giants will not be pursuing Ronaldo this summer.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is a top player with an outstanding career. However, stories on a potential deal with Bayern are not true,” he told Sky Germany. “These rumour have no truth.’
