Team Nigeria Athletes Ready for Paris, Says Athletics Federation Technical Director.
The Technical Director of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, Samuel Onikeku, has declared the readiness of Team Nigeria athletes to perform well in Paris.
Onikeku started this while speaking with Making of Champions, he confirmed that they have identified and begun addressing their limitations. “We’ve been working hard since 2021. Some athletes like Ofili and Dodi, who we took to Kenya that year, are still here with us,” he said.
Onikeku outlined the Federation’s comprehensive strategy for the Olympics, which includes both short-term and long-term goals. “We developed a key performance index earlier this year and also examined factors that might hinder our success in Paris. We have started eliminating these obstacles.”
As part of their preparation, Team Nigeria will be heading to Germany to finalise their training. “We believe things will go well in Paris,” Onikeku stated, expressing confidence in the team’s prospects for the upcoming competition.
