Sunshine Stars Strengthen Squad With 21 New Signings Ahead Of NPFL 2024/25 Season.
Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure have bolstered their squad with the addition of 21 players as they prepare for the upcoming 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The ambitious signings reflect the club’s intent to compete at the highest level in the league.
Among the key new recruits are Seth Mayi, goalkeeper Emmanuel Ofori, and Achi Nnaemeka, who returns to Sunshine Stars after two seasons with Remo Stars. Other notable additions include Lucky Vandy from Gombe United, goalkeeper Obiozor David from Bendel Insurance, Seidu Salisu from Plateau United, and Stephen Chukwude, who rejoined from Heartland FC.
Further strengthening the team are Peace Dewan (Gombe United), Yusuf Olowoshile (Bendel Insurance), Adamu Umar (Doma United), Dozie Nwanna (Gombe United), Arunta Elmer (Enugu Rangers), and Benjamin Iluyomade (Abia Comet). Segun Owoade from Inter Lagos and Ismail Ayodele from Osun United have also been signed, adding depth to the squad.
The club has also brought in promising talents like Olaoluwa Okiki from Soccer Talent Academy, Adeolu Gabriel from Solution FC, and Manuwa Kayode from Agbo Boys Academy, demonstrating their commitment to nurturing young talent.
