South Africa Coach Hugo Broos made his opinion known about the South African League following the performance of Bafana Bafana on the international stage
Hugo Broos: PSL league is the weakest league in Africa when it comes to playing a good football. They just have top infrastructure like stadiums and all but not playing good football.
Most of teams in PSL you will they lack tactics and throw their possessions away easily. They still have a long way to go when it comes to playing good football.
“As the coach, people might blame me because we drew against Andorra, the lowest-ranked team, but I stand by my decision to select the best 24 players from the PSL.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get the result we wanted. Our Bafana Bafana ranking doesn’t allow us to draw against Andorra.
The truth is, the standard of the PSL league is low. Players don’t play with tactics, and they lack passion on the field. Despite having good infrastructure like stadiums, the quality of football in the PSL is poor.
