Bello Galadanchi, popularly known as Dan Bello, has voiced strong criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies, claiming they are causing widespread hunger and suffering in Nigeria.
The skitmaker made these remarks during an appearance on Trust TV’s *Daily Politics* on Tuesday.
Dan Bello, who emphasised that he is not affiliated with any political party, challenged the government to take legal action against him if it disagrees with his critiques. He asserted that his work resonates with the people because it highlights the adverse effects of the current administration’s policies.
“If what I am doing is not good for them, that means it is good for the people,” Bello stated. “If their policies were truly beneficial, no one would feel that my content is creating significant change. The fact that people are responding to my work indicates that the government’s actions are insufficient and harmful.”
Bello accused the ruling party of enacting policies that have led to extreme hunger and desperation among Nigerians. “People are dying. They’re eating grass, drinking contaminated water, and going door-to-door begging for food after not eating for days,” he said, stressing that these hardships are not the result of natural disasters but are consequences of avoidable policy decisions.
He further criticized the government for ignoring the plight of the people while enriching themselves through questionable projects. “Now they are unhappy because we are calling them out,” Bello remarked. “They want us to keep quiet while people are dying. Where is our humanity?”
In his closing remarks, Dan Bello reiterated his willingness to face legal consequences for his statements, viewing it as a sign that his work is making an impact. “I want them to go to court. I want them to sue and do anything they can so that we can keep quiet. That means our work is getting better and better,” he concluded.
