Nigerian singer Skales has expressed outrage over the Nigerian police’s alleged abuse of power and excessive checkpoints on Orchid Road.
In a scathing post on X on October 28, 2024, Skales condemned the police for targeting luxury car drivers, soliciting bribes, and harassing youths.
Skales wrote, “My hate for Nigerian police still stands…very horrible set of humans,” criticizing their exploitation of power and mistreatment of the public.
He specifically highlighted Orchid Road’s numerous checkpoints, questioning their legitimacy and accusing police of profiling and intimidation.
