Victor Osimhen showcased his goal-scoring prowess once again by netting his 12th goal in Serie A this season for Napoli, propelling them to a 4-2 comeback victory against Monza
The reigning African Footballer of the Year capitalized on a well-placed cross from the right, unleashing a powerful header into the net in the 55th minute.
Napoli’s resurgence was marked by a flurry of goals in the second half, where they netted three times within six minutes to secure the 4-2 win and maintain their slim hopes of securing a top-four finish in Serie A.
Currently occupying the seventh spot in the league table with 48 points, Napoli trails fourth-placed Bologna by 10 points. Meanwhile, Monza sits in 11th place with 42 points.
Monza took an early lead with Milan Duric’s headed goal nine minutes into the match, but Napoli quickly responded. Osimhen’s equalizer in the 55th minute was swiftly followed by Matteo Politano’s impressive volley two minutes later. Piotr Zielinski then extended Napoli’s lead with a long-range strike in the 61st minute.
Despite Andrea Colpani’s superb goal for Monza in the 62nd minute, Napoli maintained their momentum, with Giacomo Raspadori capitalizing on a rebound to seal the victory with their fourth goal in the 68th.
