The founder of One Love Family, Sat Guru Maharaj Ji, has strongly criticized the allegations made by the Aare-Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, regarding an alleged assassination attempt on his life by President Bola Tinubu.
Maharaj Ji described Adams’ statements as an “expensive distraction” and questioned the basis of Adams’ claims.
Adams had previously claimed that President Tinubu was plotting to assassinate him, leading to a public outcry and speculation. However, Maharaj Ji condemned these accusations, stating that Adams lacked substantial importance in Nigeria’s political landscape at the federal level where President Tinubu operates.
Maharaj Ji’s statement emphasized the need for evidence to support such serious allegations, highlighting Adams’ past controversies and questioning his credibility. He urged Adams to focus on his traditional responsibilities, particularly in protecting Yorubaland from security threats rather than engaging in what he termed as “pedestrian issues.”
Maharaj Ji acknowledged President Tinubu’s contributions to Nigeria’s democracy and called for positive engagement with his leadership. He urged Tinubu to utilize the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy and emphasized the importance of unity and respect for elders in Yoruba culture.
In conclusion, Maharaj Ji called for sincere apologies from Adams to President Tinubu and urged both parties to prioritize national interests over personal agendas for the progress and stability of Nigeria.
