According to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), protesters hailing from Zamfara State are calling for the revival of investigations into the actions of former Governor Bello Matawalle.
Under the banner of the APC Loyalists Forum, demonstrators are demanding a thorough examination of numerous petitions implicating the ex-governor in alleged misappropriation of funds, notably the purported diversion of contracts amounting to a staggering N70 billion during his tenure.
The demonstrators, adamant in their pursuit of justice, presented their plea directly to the EFCC through its Director of Public Affairs, Wilson Uwujaren. In response, Uwujaren assured the protesters of the commission’s unwavering commitment to pursuing every case of corruption to its rightful conclusion.
