President Bola Tinubu has said his administration will take a comprehensive approach to strengthening the education system and making Nigerian universities globally competitive.
Tinubu made the remarks on Saturday at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) 47th Convocation ceremony in Ile-Ife.
The President, who was represented by Yusuf Sununu, Minister of State for Education, promised to revitalize the education system.
He stated that his administration would continue to invest in education and research to keep Nigerian graduates competitive in an ever-changing globe.
The President reaffirmed his commitment to improving quality education at all levels and repositioning Nigeria to be more globally competitive.
According to him, the administration has launched measures aimed at revitalizing the economy and encouraging young people to start businesses.
“As a government, we can not pretend that our nation is facing challenges of poverty, insecurity, and political instability amid infrastructural deficiency.
“Our graduates and the University system have the potential to make a significant contribution in addressing these challenges and creating a better future for all,” Tinubu stated.
He noted that his administration will revitalize the Nigerian economy while also ensuring the safety of people and property.
The President urged citizens to rally behind his government and work together to push the country to new heights.
