The inaugural Global Transport Policy Roundtable is set to take place on April 24, 2024, at the Marriot Hotel in Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
The gathering will be graced by esteemed dignitaries including President Bola Tinubu, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and a cohort of five ministers, among them, Minister of Transportation Sen. Saidu Alkali.
Anticipation surrounds the talk-show, which promises to convene key figures from the transportation sector, academia, and policy-making spheres. Dr. Oluwasegun Musa, Chairman and Chief Consultant of Global Transport Policy (GTP), unveiled this information during a pre-event press conference at the BON Hotel and Residence in GRA, Ikeja.
The event’s theme, “Transport Infrastructure and Strategic Policy Intervention: Building Blocks for Economic Growth,” will be underscored by a keynote address from Dr. Alban Igwe, a distinguished global transport specialist boasting over 35 years of industry expertise.
During the event ,the first panel session will feature prominent agencies such as the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Together, they will delve into the topic of “Transport Infrastructure and Regional Integration,” assessing the potential impact of transportation development on national unity and cohesion.
