NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau MON, expressed his gratitude to Premium Trust Bank for their substantial support and dedication to Nigerian sports. He highlighted the bank’s impressive track record of sports sponsorship in its relatively short existence, noting their involvement in various national sports initiatives, including their support for world-record holder Tobi Amusan and the sponsorship of the 2022 National Sports Festival in Delta State.
During the event, Mr. Emmanuel Emefienim, the Managing Director and CEO of Premium Trust Bank, elaborated on the bank’s commitment to nurturing sports talent in Nigeria. He emphasized the bank’s strategic role in empowering the youth and supporting government efforts by providing platforms for young talents to excel. Emefienim also noted the importance of football as a unifying force in Nigeria, reinforcing the bank’s resolve to contribute significantly to the development of the sport from the grassroots level.
Gusau also used the occasion to call on other credible corporate entities to follow Premium Trust Bank’s example and support the growth of football in Nigeria. The NFF President assured Nigerians of his administration’s dedication to enhancing the sport across all levels, with this partnership serving as a promising step towards achieving that goal.
The ceremony was attended by key officials from both the NFF and Premium Trust Bank, highlighting the collaborative spirit between the two organisations as they embark on this new journey together. This partnership is expected to bring about a new era of growth and excellence for Nigerian football.
