Cole Palmer has admitted that he will find it ‘strange and weird’ when his team Chelsea face off against Manchester City in an away Premier League tie at the Etihad Stadium this weekend.
Premier League England U-23 Star, Cole Palmer left Man City for Chelsea in a deal worth £42.5 million in the summer of 2023.
And the 21-year-old forward is arguably Chelsea’s best player so far this season. With 12 goals and nine assists to his name in 28 games for Chelsea so far this campaign.
While palmer was speaking to Chelsea’s official website ahead of this weekend encounter between Chelsea and Manchester City, He said;
“It will be strange, a weird feeling, but I am looking forward to it and the team’s looking forward to it,” Palmer told Chelsea’s website about the Blues’ upcoming Premier League tie with Man City.
“I am very excited to be honest, even though it will be strange. Obviously, I played against them at Stamford Bridge.
“But I think going back to the Etihad will be even more strange. I am really looking forward to it.”
Chelsea currently sits 10th on the log and traveling away to Etihad Stadium won’t be an easy one. But a good performance could earn them a valuable point and they will be hopeful they can produce such performance against the champions later tomorrow.
The match is slated to hold at the Etihad Stadium by 6:30 PM Nigerian time.
