The Plateau State House of Assembly complex has been sealed by the state police command.
The security operatives sealed the building due to the ongoing speakership crisis.
Anti-riot policemen arrived at the assembly complex at about 5 am on Wednesday and sealed the main entrance.
This is coming after a Plateau High Court on Monday reinstated Nuhu Abok as the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly.
The presiding judge, Justice M.L Musa reinstated Abok as Speaker following a suit filed before the court over his impeachment.
Justice Musa held the submissions of the complainants that the impeachment was illegal and therefore null and void.
The Court also awarded N1.5 million as the cost of appearance and N138,000 as the cost of filing the matter against the defenders.
Musa said the procedure adopted for the removal of Abok was illegal.
Abok on Tuesday resumed his office at the complex following the ruling of the court.
The reinstated speaker arrived at the assembly complex at about 8 am on Tuesday but didn’t gain access to his office till about 9:16 am as his office was under lock.
Following the court ruling members of the house are divided into two factions, with one loyal to the current speaker Rt. Hon Yakubu Sanda, and the others loyal to the reinstated speaker Rt. Hon Ayuba Abok who was impeached in October 2021.
