Pochettino: I’ve Owners’ Backing

Pochettino has revealed he’s got support from the owners despite the team’s current woes

Pochettino while facing the media earlier said “We are altogether in this. That is the most important. They are in contact with me, everyday”.

Mauricio Pochettino retains the backing of the Chelsea hierarchy, despite heavy back-to-back defeats against Liverpool and Wolves.

Chelsea want to see an improvement in results, and Mauricio Pochettino is under pressure to convince Boehly and Eghbali that they are making progress under him by the end of the season.

The owners are not planning another mid-season managerial change.

The Chelsea players are believed to largely back Mauricio Pochettino, but the atmosphere at Cobham has declined alongside the poor results, with players struggling to gel on and off the field.

The Chelsea owners and co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart have faced criticism for building the youngest squad in the Premier League, which lacks leaders, physicality and experience.

Pochettino had the following to say when asked by Journalist ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup clash against Aston Villa tomorrow

Mauricio Pochettino: “It’s a tough job. It’s a difficult job. But at the same time, it’s an exciting project. Knowing it’s difficult, in this type of moment we are living in a situation that is not nice, we can learn. It’s a good opportunity to learn.”

🔹Mauricio Pochettino: “I told the players today in the meeting that I trust in you more than ever. I will support you more than ever. I am not a normal boss, I am the leader. I need to reflect in every action that I really trust.”

Pochettino: “I’m disappointed with the way that we performed as it wasn’t the plan, the way we wanted to compete”.

“We need to keep going, we cannot lose focus after two defeats”.

Pochettino: “The fans need to be patient. We need to find a way to succeed”.

“We need the support, of course, we are demanding the support to the team, players”.

“I know the quality of the players. It takes time to build a team. It’s the reality”.

🔹Mauricio Pochettino on Thiago Silva: “He came today to talk with me [about social media post]. I’m not going to talk about the way we spoke. He came and wanted to talk with me. Of course, you know me, we are really strong coaching staff. We talked. That was private, that’s it. It’s good, very good [the relationship I have with him]. I think so. It’s always
