The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party LP, Mr Peter Obi has stormed the Court of Appeal, Abuja to witness the Court’s judgment in an application by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) seeking to vary the court’s order for inspection of materials used for the conduct of the February 25 presidential election.
Obi was accompanied to the court room by a retinue of the party’s chieftains, comprising the Senator elect for Anambra Central, Chief Victor Umeh.
The presidential candidate who is billed to challenge the outcome of the February 25 Presidential election at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal was heralded into the court room by a retinue of lawyers including Senior Advocates of Nigeria SANS.
Apart from Chief Victor Umeh, the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure is also in the entourage of the presidential candidate.
Meanwhile, Justice Joseph Ikyegh led panel of the Court of Appeal is being awaited for a decision on the INEC’S request.
The court will also rule in the applications of the All Progressive Congress APC and the President- elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, praying the court to allow them to also carry out similar inspection of electoral materials used for the February 25 presidential election.
