Former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, has officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential candidate.
Pelosi emphasized the need for the Democratic Party to unite in order to defeat former President Donald Trump of the Republican Party.
Pelosi announced her endorsement on X, stating, “Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump.”
This endorsement comes after President Joe Biden decided to support Harris as the party’s nominee, following his withdrawal from the presidential race due to health and performance concerns.
