The African champions, South Africa’s women’s national team, along with their players and officials, are scheduled to touch down in Nigeria on Easter Monday for the crucial Paris Olympics final qualifying match against the Super Falcons.
According to information gathered from Nigeriafootball.ng, coach Desiree Ellis’ team is expected to land in Abuja on Monday, April 1, 2024, in preparation for the first leg of the final round of the Paris 2024 Olympics Qualifiers.
Both home-based players and officials will depart from South Africa on the same day of their arrival.
Foreign players are anticipated to join their South African counterparts in Nigeria from various locations.
The first leg of the fourth round of the Olympics Qualifiers is set to take place on Friday, April 5, followed by the return leg four days later in South Africa.
The winner of the aggregate game will secure qualification for the women’s football event of the Olympics, where they will join Group C alongside World Champions Spain, Asian giants Japan, and South American champions Brazil.
