Osoba Urges Nigerians To Support Tinubu’s Leadership Despite Shortcomings, Says He’ll Deliver His Promises In His Second Term.
Former Ogun State Governor, Olusegun Osoba, has called on Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu as he embarks on his second term, asking for understanding and patience in light of the president’s challenges.
Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) South West Zone Assembly meeting in Lagos, Osoba emphasised that Tinubu would improve his performance and deliver on the promises made to the nation.
The former governor assured attendees that the Yoruba people, who have been solidly behind Tinubu, remain confident in his ability to lead effectively. He further highlighted the significance of national unity, stating that the president’s mandate was a collective decision made by the people of Nigeria.
Osoba stated: “Now that Tinubu is in office, I want to plead with all of you to accept his shortcomings. He will do better. After his first four-year term, he will serve another four years as a Yoruba son.”
He also underscored that Tinubu did not achieve the presidency on his own, but with the overwhelming support of Nigerians.
The meeting served as a platform for reaffirming the unity of the Yoruba leadership and their continued support for Tinubu’s presidency, reinforcing their confidence in his ability to steer Nigeria toward growth and development during his tenure.
