Kabiru Dogo Concerned Over Kwara United’s Home Form Despite Dominant Displays
Kabiru Dogo, the Technical Adviser of Kwara United, has voiced his concern over the team’s inconsistent home results in the ongoing 2023/2024 NPFL season. Following a goalless draw with Rivers United in their NPFL matchday 23 rescheduled game in Ilorin, Dogo expressed his thoughts on the team’s performance.
Dogo highlighted the team’s dominance in the match against Rivers United, indicating that the visitors were fortunate to escape with a draw.
Despite Kwara United’s control of the game, their lack of clinical finishing thwarted their efforts to convert opportunities into goals.
In his post-match assessment, Dogo praised his team’s impressive performance against Rivers United but lamented the recurring challenge of achieving desired results at their home ground.
He emphasized the team’s continuous improvement and expressed optimism about their future success.
“It’s a game that we really worked and planned to get three points because of the value and what we have achieved on the road so far,” Dogo remarked. “Anybody that knows the team will know that we have progressed very well, but we are always finding it difficult to get the desired results at home – that’s football because it’s one of those things.
We accept it in good faith, and Rivers are lucky to escape with a draw.”
Despite their home struggles, Kwara United currently occupies the 13th position on the log with 41 points.
Looking ahead, the team is gearing up to face Warri Wolves in round 32 of the President Federation Cup, aiming to translate their impressive away form into success on their home turf.
