Enyimba’s technical adviser, Finidi George, and goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke have returned to the club after an extended period away on international duty.
The pair represented Nigeria in the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where the Super Eagles clinched second place in the tournament. Olorunleke, serving as the team’s third-choice goalkeeper, contributed to Nigeria’s campaign during their time at AFCON.
Following their return, George and Olorunleke wasted no time rejoining the team’s training sessions, which resumed at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba on Wednesday.
With their presence back in the squad, Enyimba fans can anticipate their contributions in the upcoming matchday 21 fixture against Bendel Insurance on Sunday.
As Enyimba aims to maintain their competitive edge, George’s leadership and Olorunleke’s goalkeeping prowess will undoubtedly play crucial roles in the team’s pursuit of success.
Currently holding third position in the table with 35 points, Enyimba’s reunion with their key personnel bodes well for their continued push for glory in the league.
