REFEREE REMOVED FROM NNL & EXPELLED FROM REFEREEING GENERALLY FOR AWARDING A GOAL SCORED WITH A HAND
The referee, Zaharadeem Nasiru (Katsina State) and his assistant, Usman Auwalu (Borno State) in charge of the NNL match between Gigawa Golden Stars and Sporting Supreme has been expelled.
The officials awarded a goal scored by Jigawa Golden Stars player who throws the ball into the net of their opponents with his two hands.
This was contained in the memo sent to the referee by the NFF Refereeing Development Unit, the NFF body saddles with the responsibility of promoting and sanctioning of referees in line with their performances.
