The Nigeria National League, NNL, has set a new resumption date for the second half of the 2023/24 season.
NNL gets new resumption date after the initial one which was earlier scheduled for Friday, February 16, 2024. The resumption of the second half of the 2023/2024 has now been moved to Friday March 1, 2024.
The announcement was made by the board of the NNL after their meeting in Abuja on Wednesday.
The NNL organizers stated that the change in date is aimed at ensuring proper mid season registration and medicals of new acquired players by clubs in the second division.
They likewise affirmed their willingness to provide enabling environment to all 40 clubs for better performance in the league.
The NNL various top position is currently occupied by Madiba FC and Ikorodu City, both teams are top in the NNL Conference A and B table, while Wikki Tourists and Sporting Supreme lead in Conference C and D respectively.
Two teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs after which a pairing amongst them will decide the winner of the league
