The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has lauded the successful rescue and safe return of the abducted students from Government Secondary School, Kuriga, Kaduna State.
The students, who were held captive for two weeks by armed bandits, were returned unharmed, bringing immense relief to their families and the nation at large.
Universal President of NANS, Comrade Lucky Emonefe, expressed gratitude to all involved in securing the release of the students.
Emonefe particularly commended the dedication of President Bola Tinubu, the service chiefs, National Security Adviser Malam Nuhu Ribadu, Governor of Kaduna State Sen. Uba Sani, and security agents for their relentless efforts in ensuring the safe return of the abducted students.
Emphasizing the importance of prioritizing and strengthening security measures within educational institutions nationwide, NANS reiterated its stance on the need for enhanced security in schools.
The association urged relevant authorities to take steps to bolster security manpower in educational institutions to prevent similar incidents in the future.
