Nigeria thumped Sao Tome and Principe 6-0 on Sunday evening to further stamp authority as giants of Africa.

Lookman then went on to get on to the score sheet himself some 14 minutes later as Wilfred Ndidi came through with the assist.

Samuel Chukwueze’s 84th minute-goal sealed Nigeria’s emphatic win on the day. As he himself also grabbed a goal and an assist despite coming late on in the game.
The Super Eagles finished top of group A with 15 points and are also the highest scoring in the Qualifying series with 21 goals.
