Super Eagles defender Aina won’t be available for next AFCON Qualifier
Super Eagles defender Ola Aina won’t be available for the first leg of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea-Bissau in September.
The Torino defender will miss the game through suspension after picking up a second yellow card in the qualifying match against Sao Tome and Principe on Monday.
Aina was solid in defense for the super Eagles as they crush their opponent 10-0.
The defender was previously cautioned in Nigeria’s opening match of the AFCON qualifier against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.
Nevertheless, the 25-year-old will be available for the away clash against Djurtus in September.
The Super Eagles will continue their impressive form, when they host Djurtus in the next AFCON encounter at Moshood Abiola stadium on Sunday, September 18.
The return leg will hold eight days later.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are sitting comfortably on top Group A with six points from two games.
